Pregnancy Week 18

Your body:

At week 18 you might notice yourself becoming a little dizzy or light headed. Postural hypotension can happen when you stand up too fast and your body doesn’t have time get enough oxygen to your brain. As your body continues to retain water throughout the pregnancy, you may notice your feet and hands beginning to swell. Prop them up to help the swelling go down, or ask for a nice foot massage to help!

Your baby:

Feeling hungry? Baby is growing super fast and may be why you feel the need to eat more. At 6.7 ounces, baby is packing a fierce punch and kick that you may already be feeling. Measuring in at 5.5 inches long, your child is making sure his presence is known. As he continues to grow, there will be added pressure on your bladder causing the need to run to the bathroom more frequently than ever!
